Anonano is built to help you save, highlight, and organize your own AI conversations. We respect your privacy: we do not sell your personal data, we do not monitor your unrelated browsing activity, and your saved chats are strictly private to you unless you explicitly choose to share them in a group space or public feed.
1. Single Purpose & Data Collection
The Anonano Chrome Extension serves a single purpose: enabling users to highlight, bookmark, and synchronize their AI research conversations from supported web AI interfaces (including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity, DeepSeek, and Grok) into their personal Anonano library.
Information You Save
When you click Save or Highlight, the extension captures the selected text snippet, prompt title, AI provider name, and user annotations to store in your account.
What We Never Collect
We never access passwords, financial data, browsing history outside supported AI tabs, or background keystrokes.
2. Chrome Extension Permissions Justification
Used locally to preserve your login session token and client-side annotation preferences.
Used to detect the current AI chat URL so annotations and thread snapshots attach to the correct conversation.
Provides right-click shortcut options ("Annotate with Anonano", "Backup AI Thread") on highlighted text.
Restricted specifically to supported AI web applications (e.g., chatgpt.com, claude.ai, gemini.google.com) and the Anonano backend API to render the highlighter and save conversations.
3. Data Security & Storage
All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections. Saved data is hosted on enterprise-grade infrastructure with Row Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring only your authenticated user account can access your private items.
4. User Rights & Data Deletion
You have full control over your data. You may delete individual notes, threads, collections, or your entire account at any time from your Anonano dashboard.
